CTO Lighting is seeking a European sales manager to join its team in London or mainland Europe.
CTO Lighting is a family-owned business that has built an enviable reputation worldwide over the past 20 years working, with some of the leading interior designers, such as David Collins Studio and Martin Brudnizki on exclusive projects, such as Chiltern Street Firehouse and St Pancras Hotel. We design and manufacture a range of luxury lighting, distributed through our worldwide sales network, alongside bespoke fixtures for prestigious design practices and projects.
CTO Lighting has a vacancy for a European sales manager, who will lead the implementation of our sales strategy, working in tandem with our other departments to ensure our strong growth targets are achieved. This role will report directly to the commercial director and can be based in London or mainland Europe.
Role
The role offers an exciting opportunity for someone to lead our sales department during a time of exceptional growth. We are looking for someone who wants to join our friendly and experienced team, working with them in a fast-paced commercial environment to grow and support our national and international sales network.
You will:
- manage our agent and distribution network across Europe ensuring sales targets and KPI’s are met
- expand our distribution network through agents, dealers, trade clients and other customer bases
- oversee, implement and develop an effective sales strategy to achieve company targets
- gain an excellent understanding of managing, educating, developing agents
- develop excellent customer relationships in person
- seek new opportunities to develop untapped sales streams
- drive new products into existing and new markets
- produce monthly sales reports
- ensure a high level of customer retention, focus and satisfaction
- attend national and international trade shows; Decorex, Maison & Objet, IMM Cologne Euroluce
- consistent European travel

You must be ambitious and have the vision to make the sales department thrive and grow under your leadership. You must be an enthusiastic, organised person with a passion for design and will relish the chance to operate in a successful, luxury, design-led company. You must have:
- a minimum of 10 years’ experience of developing a sales region increasing sales and customers
- proven track record of managing sales agents and dealers
- strong presentation skills, communication and negotiation abilities
- an outgoing personality and great interpersonal skills
- good project management
- excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and a CRM database
- fluency in one or more European language would be beneficial but not essential
- be able to travel across Europe freely without the requirement for visa control
