Project architect
at Unagru
Unagru is looking for a project architect to join its team in London.
Unagru is a young practice based in London with a growing portfolio of private residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. With a varied background in urbanism, sustainable landscape design as well as architecture, we are now planning to participate in competitions and bids to secure public projects.
We share an office space in Dalston with other young architecture firms. We also share ideas, samples, and often go to lectures together.
We want to meet a self-starter who loves architecture, but also research, society, cities, landscapes, books, and competitions. Someone who can manage their time, be responsible for their projects, and sit down to discuss concept designs and project narratives. They will be confident working independently and able to collaborate effectively in a project team through all design phases. They will coordinate and manage projects from start to finish. They will have exceptional attention to detail.
In truth, we hope to find someone who will become a leader in the practice, will work to make it grow and diversify.
The basics
You will be working on and leading two high-end residential architectural projects. At the same time, you will take part in preparing competition entries and design concepts for new projects. You will be responsible for producing work to the client brief on time and on budget.
Skills and experience
With at least two years’ experience as a project architect, you will have developed an understanding of the architectural project design approach and workflow. You will be confident talking to people at all levels, and ready to jump on a call or site visit to solve a problem.
We don’t much believe in distinguishing people based on software proficiency, but there is an attitude towards learning and improvement through the use of software that we appreciate. That said, we work mostly in Revit and Adobe Suite, a little in AutoCAD. We would, therefore, prefer a minimum of two years’ experience in Revit (or an active attitude towards mastering new software and willingness to put in the extra effort).
Start date: ASAP
Location: Dalston, London
Due to the world going crazy at the moment, the post is initially for a one year contract (with a three month probation period).
Salary will be based on experience.
