Nebihe Cihan Studio is seeking a freelance senior interior architect/designer to join its London office.
Nebihe Cihan Studio is looking for a senior interior architect/designer with a minimum of five years’ of experience in high end residential design to join its team in London.
This role will take responsibility for assisting the project’s development through each design phase, from the concept to completion during its partnership with the studio. You will play a key part of the projects team supporting the needs and requirements of the creative director. Candidate must have great knowledge in AutoCAD as one of the main responsibilities will be drafting tender packages using AutoCAD. Knowledge in SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and 3D Studio Max are highly desired.
Please only apply if you have a strong portfolio in high end residential interiors. Candidates must be based in London and expect to work out of our Chelsea Studio. This is not a remote position.
Main tasks and responsibilities to include the following:
- able to lead a project from concept to completion
- producing design drawing and tender packages using AutoCAD
- producing and reviewing detailed joinery drawings
- reviewing and approving shop drawings
- designing custom furniture and producing detailed furniture drawings
- rendering skills using Sketch Up or 3D Studio Max is a plus
- producing client presentations using Adobe Indesign
- working with junior designers at the earliest stages of a project to develop –the concept and produce high-quality final images and visuals for planning/marketing/client approval
- involvement in the preparation of client concept presentations
- working under pressure and to tight deadlines while being overseen by the creative director
- must have a positive, yes attitude
- must have previous relationships with high end suppliers in London and Europe
- must have an excellent eye for detail
- will be in charge of preparing and managing project budgets
- will be responsible for bidding and awarding projects
- must have great problem solving skills
- must have great negotiation skills with suppliers and contractors
- must have excellent written and spoken English
- Italian and/or French speaking is a plus
