Architectural technologist/technical architect

Falconer Chester Hall Architects is looking for an experienced technical architect or architectural technologist to join its team on a full time basis in London.
The successful candidate will work as part of an architectural team delivering construction information and managing the design process for large scale mixed-used developments. Applicants must have a positive attitude with proven proficiency working collaboratively within a team setting. They must have the ability to work with accuracy and be capable of taking responsibility for their own work and to oversee the work of others.

Key areas of responsibility:
- guide and detail tender/construction packages at stages 3, 4 and 5
- understand how the design aspects of a construction project influence and relate to performance and functional issues so that practical questions can be addressed at the outset
- contribute to building regulation, code requirements and other regulatory applications and procedures
- prepare NBS specifications
- work effectively within a larger team alongside architects, BIM coordinators etc and interface with external contractors and sub consultants
Required skills:
- Microstation 2D
- Revit
- experience in tender and construction package production
- qualified architectural technician/technologist or technical architect with three-plus years PQE in the UK
- experience working on large scale refurbishment and historic building projects
- advanced knowledge of detailed technical design and construction methods
- understanding of regulation and code requirements
- experience with NBS Chorus
- keen eye for detail
- strong teamwork and communication skill
