Marketing and press coordinator

PLP Architecture is seeking a marketing and press coordinator to join its team in London.
PLP Architecture is a London-based group of architects, designers and thinkers who value the transformative role of ideas and the capacity for architecture to inspire. PLP has created some of the world’s smartest and sustainable buildings that have redefined what it means to live and work in today’s cities. The practice’s in-house think tank, PLP Labs, is a research collaborative that develops concepts and technologies aimed at the future development of urban living.
PLP is seeking a marketing and press coordinator, with a proactive and engaged approach, to work with all project and support teams across our London studio.
The candidate will be responsible for a variety of internal and external tasks related to the practice’s marketing and new business efforts. Working as part of a small, energetic, and cohesive group, this role will include both support-based and stand-alone tasks centring around the way the practice portrays its work, studio and staff.
We are interested in a motivated self-starter who can work effectively to short and long-term goals and deadlines and think in creative manner, managing changing schedules and prioritising tasks and requirements. Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the built environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- manage office PR and press, interfacing where required with external agency
- develop and manage an engaging social media strategy and ensure effective Implementation in line with identified campaign strategies
- Copywriting, including but not limited to social media posts, blog articles, event descriptions and press releases
- work with the head of business development to track bids, monitoring submission deadlines and following up where required
- coordinate the bid and tender process from start to finish, undertaking preparation of all documentation and working closely with the senior team to produce competitive, concise and compelling responses to public and private sector bids and RFPs
- identify and coordinate entries into regional and national design award programs
- create digital content
- work, when required, with the communications and project teams to create or edit project texts, press releases and thematic brochures
- maintain the internal marketing calendar
- perform sector research and coordinate related targeted campaigns
- liaise/maintain relationships with industry organisations
- monitor industry events/organise office attendees
- manage and maintain a programme of internal knowledge-sharing talks with internal and external individuals
- monitor tender portals and competition opportunities
- assist with the management and updates to the office CRM/Image Database systems
Key skills and experience required:
- excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Salesforce and OpenAsset
- Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn business accounts
- experience with bid submissions/tender portals
- ability to speak a European language is advantageous
