David Gill Gallery is seeking a production coordinator to join its team in London.

David Gill Gallery is an innovative and pioneering gallery of limited edition and unique contemporary furniture design. Championing and showcasing the work of leading international artists, architects, and designers who are both new and world famous.
With a production and technical design studio on site, we are seeking a production coordinator with a technical knowledge of furniture construction and production methods.
You will also be overseeing gallery maintenance, responsible for conducting daily walkthroughs of the gallery space to ensure that the space is clean and tidy, and everything is working – also hanging artworks when required.
Responsibilities include:
- plan and draw up a production schedule, monitor the production processes and set and control the quality standards
- interpreting sketches and drawings, able to produce CAD drawings in Rhino when required
- preparing and shipping samples, organising international and domestic transport for furniture and sculpture
- liaise with different departments, teams and companies, e.g. internal managers, artists and suppliers
- carrying out condition checks and quality control of completed products that are ready for final sign off
- management of the measurements and weights of both products and packing
- you will be regularly visiting our warehouse and there will be occasional manual handing and lifting work so you will need to be physically able to take on this aspect of the role
Person/experience required:
- ability to interpret sketches and drawings
- ability to multitask and project manage the production of luxury and bespoke artist furniture and products
- strong planning and organisation skills to schedule your own work to meet the team’s goals
- computer literate ideally with experience in 2D and 3D CAD skills, we use Rhino, Keyshot and Adobe Creative software
- strong attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
- excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills
- knowledge of handling a variety of materials such as but not limited to bronze, wood, stainless steel, resin
- a knowledge of other languages would be desirable (French, Italian)
