STAC Architecture is seeking a Part 3 architect to join its team in London.

STAC is recruiting for a job running, Part 3/ARB qualified, architect with a proven track record in residential architecture.

STAC Architecture is an award-winning, design-orientated studio. Design excellence is at the forefront of everything we do. We focus on innovation, collaboration and making, constantly pushing the boundary of what is possible within the realms of art, architecture, interiors and product design.

STAC specialises in hospitality/retail design, with particular focus on interior fit-out in those sectors. Having recently secured a high-end residential project, we are currently looking to grow our residential design team. The successful candidate will be stepping into a business that is on the cusp of significant growth and this new team member will get the opportunity to play an integral role in this transformative phase.

As well as a proven track record for design and communication of ideas, each candidate will be required to demonstrate that they are not only passionate about design, but are self-motivated, organised and willing to work as part of a wider team.

Key criteria : 

  • Part 3/ARB qualification and a minimum of two years (post qualification) work experience in the UK
  • residential design experience
  • site experience
  • experience in delivering tender and construction packages
  • clear understanding of materials, both traditional and new
    knowledge of UK building and planning regulations
  • a strong portfolio, showcasing good presentation and design skills
  • excellent English, both written and verbal and eligible to work in the UK
  • Vectorworks 2D proficiency
  • proficiency in InDesign & Photoshop
  • 3D modelling ability, preferably in Rhino 3D and SketchUp

Role : 

  • job runner
  • work on exciting residential and hospitality projects from concept to construction
  • design, detail and execute fast tracked projects with ease
  • production of tender and construction packages – drawings, schedules and specifications
  • focus on interior and product design with an architectural approach
  • report to senior members of the team re: job status, workload, etc.

Nice to have :

  • Mac experience
  • Grasshopper experience

Job start date: immediate

This position is a one year fixed term contract to initially cover maternity leave, but will be reviewed and potentially extended based on ongoing projects and the candidate’s performance.
