The role

Soho House Design is looking for a passionate, hands on, highly motivated, and creative Junior Interior Designer to join the team. This person will work within a team of in-house designers on internal and external hospitality projects.

Applicants should be familiar with the interior design process from design development, materials research and selection, through to procurement, production and installation. Experience in hospitality design is a plus.

Main duties

  • assists the design team in creating concepts, design drawings, and schedules
  • prepares internal and external presentations
  • ensures documents and presentation are filed in accordance to Soho House Standards
  • prepares preliminary FF&E budgets for the review of Designers
  • sources finishes, fixtures, furnishings, fabrics, lighting, hardware and accessories
  • liaising with procurement manager
  • manages FF&E and sourcing to target budget and timetable on a daily level
  • closely monitors and managers supplier’s progress to target deadlines and budget
  • assesses and manages prototype stages of bespoke pieces
  • assists FF&E install
  • maintains sample library

Requirements/qualifications:

  • one to three years’ of experience in hospitality and residential design
  • bachelor’s degree in interior design
  • experience in being part of a collaborative design environment
  • knowledge of local and online showrooms and resources, industry trends
  • thrives in a fast-paced dynamic, creative environment
  • product development a plus

Software requirements:

  • professional-level design software proficiency (AutoCAD)
  • professional-level design software proficiency (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Revit knowledge a plus
