Basha-Franklin is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
We are seeking an ambitious Part 2 architectural assistant to join our growing multi-disciplinary studio to work on several prestigious, design-led projects in London.
Projects
Current projects include an ambitious £20 million refurbishment in Mayfair to create a ‘best-in-class’ office space, and a £12 million office fit-out from shell and core (including bespoke staircases) in Kings Cross. Our focus is creating holistic project inside and out.

We are a passionate and focused multi-disciplinary design studio. We share a love of co-creating with other designers and makers so that together we can make better, richer architecture and interiors. We are an Architects Declare co-signatory, and care deeply about not leaving the planet worse than when we were put on it.
Our team’s experience is primarily in the commercial office and residential sectors with a significant workstream from some of the UK’s most successful property developers. We can offer you the opportunity of being part of exciting, challenging projects while getting client-facing experience as well as career progression.
Prerequisite qualifications:
- RIBA Part 2 or equivalent qualifications
- the right to work or appropriate visa demonstrating the right to work in the UK
Job requirements
The right candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated team player who can display a suitable range of experiences in architecture and design. You should have a good-eye, be technical proficient, keen to learn, and share a burning desire to make enduring architecture, inside and out. Immediate/shorter notice start preferred.
Skills:
- a passion for producing interesting conceptual ideas, researching new materials and techniques, and innovative detailing
- ability to put together InDesign documents/presentations and get key ideas across to clients with relevant imagery and text
- good written and verbal presentation skills
- software skills – ArchiCAD or Revit (2D and 3D or the commitment to learn our BIM platform Archicad for which we provide initial in-house training), SketchUp, Adobe CS. Knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper and Python desirable
- enthusiasm, motivation, energy, and a sense of humour, strong awareness of current sustainability and ESG factors within the design and construction industry
