Based Upon is seeking a workshop technician to join its team in London.
Based Upon are looking for a capable and enthusiastic workshop technician. Working in a dynamic environment you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing deliveries and the accurate updating and maintenance of our in house systems.
You will make sure finished pieces are packed and labelled appropriately and help with the installation and assembly of large-scale artworks in our gallery space and on site.
Other tasks will include, but are not limited to making of parts and jigs for projects using woodworking equipment and a range of hand tools. You will also be responsible for the smooth running and maintenance of our gallery space, workshop and storage areas. Good housekeeping and adherence to health and safety standards are also essential to the role.
Applicants must have strong organisational skills, a positive attitude and be able to work as part of a team and be PC literate. Workshop or manufacturing experience, experience of handling and installing large-scale artworks and a forklift truck driver’s licence are desirable.
Please note this is a physically demanding role.
Salary dependant on experience.
