Corstorphine & Wright is seeking an architect/project architect to join its team in Birmingham, UK.
We are Corstorphine & Wright, an award-winning, AJ100 architectural practice with studios across the UK. We are a dedicated team of 200+ enthusiastic individuals that care about creating places that foster human connection while adding commercial, civic, environmental, and social value.
Due to exciting developments across the Education sector, our Birmingham Studio is expanding and looking for a talented Architect/ Project Architect to join our aspiring team! Our design driven studio plays a key role in driving best practice and digital initiatives across Corstorphine & Wright. You will be part of a team that is supporting the growth of the company and helping to shape the future of Corstorphine & Wright.
As part of the role you will enjoy an interesting mix of responsibilities which includes:
- working closely with a team to help deliver projects at all levels of the RIBA work stages
- assist with the development of architectural designs that meet client aspirations
- working closely with the team leader to manage resources, time and implement best practice
- liaising with all statutory authorities
- supporting bids and feasibilities to help secure new work
- work closely with construction professionals at all levels
- help clients develop project briefs and establish drivers
- be an active participant in the studio’s CPD program
- working with client’s confidential and commercially sensitive information
We want to hear from you if you have:
- a proven record of managing and delivering projects.
- proficiency in the latest software tools e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape and VR
- enthusiastic about design and creativity
- excellent design and presentation skills
- excellent project management and planning skills
- proven experience in managing time-sensitive and budget constrained projects
- desire to develop your career and professional development
