Allies and Morrison is seeking a BIM coordinator to join its team in London.
Allies and Morrison has looked to integrate digital workflows into all aspects of our design ethos and we have developed significant experience over the last eight years in the use of BIM processes across all project stages. With an emphasis on quality design at the core of the practice vision, we endeavour to embrace the benefits of digital technologies in all aspects of design, construction and building operations.
In looking to meet the rapidly developing BIM requirements of our clients, we have focused on the development of BIM Management services in-house and we are now providing this role on a wide range of large-scale projects throughout the UK. The practice is looking to add an experienced BIM
coordinator to the team, to work directly on a number of large-scale residential, education, commercial and cultural projects.
The BIM coordinator will deliver a central role in the day to day implementation of BIM workflows and interface with multidisciplinary design teams in the use of digital design workflows. The position will
include the day to day management of model exchanges, clash detection, model compliance checks and model data management.
About you
You will have experience in the implementation of project specific BIM execution plans and the ability to clearly communicate the processes and workflows defined in BS1192:2007, BS1192-4 and PAS1192-2,3 & 5 documentation.
You will chair BIM coordination workshops, implement robust model compliance checks and have a clear understanding of information exchange best practice and common data environment usage.
Candidates will have a strong understanding of construction processes and have experience in the coordination of discipline interfaces through design and construction.
Skills and experience:
- two-three years demonstrable experience implementing BIM processes of large-scale projects, with a strong understanding of BS/PAS 1192 workflows
- in-depth knowledge in the use of Solibri Model Checker and Autodesk Revit and Navisworks software
- experience working in a project coordination role and knowledge of construction detailing
- working knowledge of information exchange protocols and common data environment interfacing
- excellent communication and reporting skills, with experience in the use of Adobe Suite
- experience working with COBie data structures and the integration of Uniclass classification in model elements.
- experience in the management of model datasets, including the linking of models with external databases, such as Excel
- knowledge and experience in the use of Dynamo and programming languages would be advantageous
