Tate + Co has an opportunity for an office manager to join its practice in London.
Tate + Co is one of the UK’s leading sustainable architects, working within natural or heritage settings. Our award-winning work ranges from single buildings to masterplans and planning strategies, in both a local and global context. Our clients include developers, hotel and leisure operators, cultural institutions, education establishments and private individuals. We are an enthusiastic and friendly team, with a supportive office culture.
We are looking for an experienced and organised individual to support the directors of the company. The role will involve financial and general administration as well as assisting in the day-to day running of the business. Two years’ experience in a similar role required and experience of Xero software is essential. We see this as a part-time role of three days per week or it could be five short days, but we are open to full time applicants too.
The role:
- reconciliation of expense receipts on Xero
- processing payments and income onto Xero
- liaising with the directors and accountants to complete quarterly VAT returns
- assisting the directors and accountants with the preparation of the year end accounts
- paying staff expenses
- assisting with the preparation of staff salaries
- monitoring office supplies, stationery and equipment
- liaising with external suppliers, IT support and clients as required
- assisting the directors with booking of travel and accommodation.
- reviewing the bank accounts
- general office administration
Required skills:
- two years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a creative industry
- experience of using Xero software
- strong organisational skills
- ability to work to strict deadlines and manage time effectively
- good IT skills (MS office, Excel and Xero)
- attention to detail
- flexible, friendly and proactive approach
- eligible to work in the UK.
- fluent in written and spoken English
Salary: dependent on experience but will be competitive.
