Junior interior designer

Workpad has an opportunity for a junior interior designer to join its team in London.

Workpad is a serviced office company, established in 2013 with the ambition of providing high end, boutique serviced office space, in beautiful central London locations.

The ideal candidate is a passionate and dedicated individual, who is looking to progress their career. The successful candidate will be working alongside the design manager to develop the design department and carry out tasks that are crucial to the success of  the business.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • assisting and working closely with the design manager
  • work on existing floor-plans from Landlords to provide accurate m2/sqft of office areas
  • produce and develop CAD templates
  • create space plans of existing and new offices
  • create design presentations for new and existing projects from using existing templates
  • developing existing design presentation templates
  • undertake ongoing research of furniture, products, finishes and materials
  • create FF&E selection using existing templates – furniture and dressing schedules
  • developing existing FF&E templates
  • food working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • excellent design and technical skills
  • helpful problem solver and quick learner
  • organising and keeping track of interior samples
  • manage workload and able to meet deadlines
  • be self-motivated and committed to achieving personal and company missions and visions

Education and work experience:

  • bachelors in a design related degree
  • a minimum of one to two years relevant work experience in interiors preferably for commercial offices
  • must be proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
  • working knowledge of Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel
  • not essential but beneficial to have working knowledge of SketchUp and V-Ray for 3D visualisations
  • awareness and keenness of current industry trends
  • the successful candidate will be working on a MacOS system – not essential to have previous experience in using MacOS system as basic training will be provided
