Rees Architects is seeking a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
Rees Architects is a small design-oriented practice based in Shoreditch – working in the private residential sector on well-refined refurbishments, extensions, retro-fit basements and new builds in and around London, working closely with domestic clients. Rees Architects specialises in providing full design and management service for clients.
Rees Architects are looking for a talented Part 2 architectural assistant to assist the team with all areas of the design and management process. The ideal candidate would have practical work experience in the residential sector and possess excellent drawing skills (CAD and hand-drawn) and model-making abilities.
Main skills/qualifications:
- Part 2 RIBA qualified (or equivalent masters degree)
- AutoCAD and Photoshop are a must
- hand drawing and sketching
- Revit – desirable
- SketchUp
- InDesign
- model making (laser cutting and 3D printing)
Experience:
- working on private residential projects
- production of detailed design drawings
- planning applications
- joinery and furniture design – desirable
- experience working with listed buildings and conservation areas – desirable
Qualities:
- strong work ethic, with the ability to manage projects and other team members
- working closely with clients and keeping them updated with project progress
- friendly and personable
- general interest in construction processes, design, art and architecture
