Black and Milk Studio invites you to join our dynamic team as a senior interior designer specialising in residential projects.

Founded in 2013, Black and Milk is driven by the creative vision of Toly and Olga, a husband and wife duo. We work solely with private clients on high-end residential projects. The studio’s work ranges from interior design schemes for new builds to full turnkey refurbishments of historic properties. Our projects are highly bespoke and detailed. We don’t accept a copy-paste approach and always strive to bring fresh ideas. We create contemporary homes with a theme of cosy luxury.

The Black and Milk team is expanding and we are looking for a talented senior interior designer with an ambition to create award-winning designs. We seek an all-rounder with good knowledge of interior design and interior architecture in the residential sector.

You will be responsible for creating your design schemes from concept to completion under the direction of the creative director and support of procurement and project managers during the implementation.

You’ll join a young and energetic team passionate about great designs and architecture.

Our studio is in pictures Hampstead NW3, a few min from the tube saltation.

Main duties:

  • manage interior design projects from concept to completion
  • create and maintain project tasks to ensure timed execution of works
  • create mood boards, material boards, detailed technical design packs and specifications, and present them to the client
  • work with a 3D artist to create visuals
  • create tech drawings and documentation in AutoCAD
  • oversee the works onsite and resolve ad-hoc queries from the contractors

Skills and experience:

  • proficiency in AutoCAD; we don’t work in Vectorworks
  • proven experience in residential interior design in the UK
  • exciting and creative portfolio, which also demonstrates your technical ability
  • good client communication and presentation skills
  • good knowledge of FF&E landscape in contemporary segments across all categories used in architectural and residential projects
  • hands-on site experience
  • good numerical skills and attention to detail

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, with a one-hour lunch break.

Salary: £40k to £55k
