Gustafson Porter + Bowman is seeking a senior architect/landscape architect to join its team in Paris.
Gustafson Porter + Bowman is an award-winning leading landscape architecture practice which has received public acclaim for creating engaging and beautiful spaces around the world.
We are looking for a senior architect/landscape architect with at least five years site experience in France for a high-profile Paris-based position. This is a fixed-term contract (12 months) part to full-time (four days-plus per week).
Key responsibilities:
- project management of the construction phase on a complex site in Paris
- client key contact
- liaison and coordination of collaborators and contractors
- daily communication with the London team
Skills and experience:
- architect/landscape architect with at least 5 years site experience in France
- demonstrable experience of the management and delivery of complex small and medium sized projects from inception to completion (including construction) on time, within budget, and to the client’s requirements
- demonstrable experience of managing a project team’s resourcing and administration
- able to assist in the preparation and review of proposals and contracts
- familiar with the contractual documentation required for stages VISA, DET and AOR
- knowledge of relevant Health & Safety, CDM & Risk Assessments, ability to interpret and guard against potential problems relating to site conditions, safety and quality control.
- proficiency in all relevant software packages (AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Office 365. Revit an advantage).
- fluent French, both written and spoken
- good English, both written and spoken
- confidence in liaising with clients, contractors and other professionals, and the ability to develop strong working relationships with them
