DKN | JAMM is seeking a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in Winchester.
We are looking to recruit a talented Part 2 architectural assistant to join our small friendly team based in Winchester, working on an exciting portfolio of private residential projects across the UK.
This is an exciting position offering great potential to grow within the business and gain hands-on experience across all aspects of the profession. The role will suit an individual aspiring towards a career within high-end residential architecture with an interest in both architectural and interior design.
As a small company, we are looking for an assistant who will grow within the company and become an intrinsic part of the team long-term. You will need to be passionate, determined and self-driven to thrive within this job role. In return we will offer great exposure to all aspects of architectural practice to help springboard your development towards Part 3 studies, the possibility of flexible working arrangements tailored to suit your learning and career objectives as well as working closely with both company directors.
Essentials that we are looking for:
- particular interest in high end private residential design as well as interior design
- past experience in UK architecture practice with knowledge of UK planning and building regulations as well as some previous experience of technical design
- proficient in AutoCAD
- ability to work independently, with strong initiative to manage your own time and tasks efficiently, ensuring deadlines can be met
- confident and fluent communication skills both spoken and written and to be comfortable liaising directly with consultants, contractors and clients
- hold a UK visa/work permit and be able to begin work ASAP
Other desirable attributes:
- knowledge of Google SketchUp
- experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
- previous site experience and knowledge of construction work stages
- own your own car
- dog friendly!
Salary will be in line with RIBA benchmarks and dependent on experience. This will be regularly reviewed in-line with your career progression and development within the company.
