Kibre is seeking an FF&E designer to join its team in London, UK.
Kibre works on a wide range of projects nationwide, designing, procuring and installing on build to rent, co-working, private offices and residential. The role will be working with the wider design team to design, source and oversee FF&E for the company. A dynamic and exciting role working with a social and fun team on all aspects of design and FF&E.
Kibre is seeking a candidate with a portfolio of high-quality contemporary interiors demonstrating commercial, hospitality and residential development experience, which demonstrates exceptional design, coordination and management skills with high attention to detail. The ideal candidates should have proven experience of successfully delivering projects from inception to completion.
The candidates should show initiative and the highest level of professionalism. The role requires drive and initiative in a fast-paced, lively and creative environment.
Reporting to the senior FF&E designer, the role will require the successful candidate to source FF&E, accessories and art schemes from conception through to installation, including scheming, sourcing, budgeting and assisting in the procurement of all items. The role will be supported by the wider design team, working closely with interior designers to ensure projects are delivered holistically.

What we are looking for in the role:
- legal right to work in the UK
- impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written. Must be fluent in spoken and written English
- an industry-recognised diploma or degree in interior design, interior architecture or architecture
- three years post-graduate experience with a minimum of three years in the residential/hospitality sector
- competent in MS Office, AutoCAD and Adobe Suite
- experience with EstiMac/EstiPC is essential
- efficient in time management
- a conscientious and clear communicator
- capable of assisting in running multiple FF&E projects
- proven experience working on residential and/or hospitality-focused projects
- proven experience in project management, including but not limited to budgeting and scheduling, with an understanding of project programmes and deadlines
- a confident, loyal, trustworthy, dynamic and charming person who can hold their own with clients, project consultant teams, suppliers, contractors and fabricators
- self-motivated and unafraid to take responsibility, ensuring Kibre deliver a seamless service to our clients
- excellent presentation skills of creating both physical and digital mood boards for presentations with clients
- passionate for FF&E, design, art and aesthetics, with a good knowledge of suppliers, products, specialist finishes and current design trends
- experience in procurement would be a plus but is not essential
- a good eye for scale and balance, detail and colour
- general knowledge of interior architecture with the ability to read and understand technical drawings, including furniture shop drawings
- can differentiate the needs of different ‘styles’ and ‘looks’ and deliver those styles without letting personal preferences impact choices
- able to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
- excellent organisational skills and able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
- able to demonstrate discretion with sensitive and sometimes confidential information
Other desirable skills:
- experience in ‘lighting’ as a design element – knowledge of how to use lighting and shadows for drama and impact would be a plus
- proven on-site experience, including technical drawing reviews

Responsibilities:
- manage FF&E CAD plans, working up coordinated plans with RCPs and the interior designers’ GAs and sections
- ensure that the FF&E requirements on all projects are sourced, ordered and delivered on time, on budget and to brief, from inception to completion
- preparation of concepts, mood boards, preliminary and final designs, and development of details, furniture, fixtures and lighting layouts in Adobe Suite and AutoCAD
- manage projects efficiently, within schedule and budget, in close cooperation with senior designer and director
- develop detailed designs and selection of furniture, lighting and finishes, taking responsibility for technical drawings in plans and elevations prior to presentations and delivery
- self-motivated but also a good team player who can work quickly and efficiently in an organised manner
- attend client meetings and present FF&E concepts to clients, advising clients and other parties on all specifications and cost details of a design project
- experience in dealing with clients, contractors and other suppliers in a highly professional manner
- prepare full FF&E schedules and approval from directors
- oversee purchase orders, specification sheets and control books, working alongside the procurement team
- negotiate, coordinate and liaise with suppliers to ensure that all specifications and deliveries meet deadlines and remain on budget, throughout the procurement of all FF&E items
- generate solutions and alternatives as problems arise and seek approval from designers and clients
- ensure regular and open communication
- build and grow existing client and supplier relationships
- advance supplier database
- ability to work with suppliers to create bespoke designs and finishes
- oversee the installation of the project ,ensuring that all FF&E, accessories and styling requirements are met
- assist in styling and overseeing professional photography
- ensure that FF&E library/sample area is managed and maintained
