Teco Bespoke has an opportunity for a creative draftsperson/joinery CAD technician to join its team in Hertfordshire, UK.
Teco Bespoke is a bespoke joinery manufacturer with all production, manufacturing and finishing facilities based in a large workshop with attached offices in Bedmond, Hertfordshire.
We are looking for a creative and motivated individual with an excellent understanding of joinery drafting/detailing. The job placement would particularly suit someone with previous experience in joinery/furniture design and architecture.
Responsibilities:
- complete the design process from initial brief through to production drawings to installation drawings
- create workshop production drawings
- receive client/designers’ feedback and make amendments as necessary
- liaise with suppliers to ensure correct solutions are specified
- liaise with clients/designers to determine material choices
- keep the workshop team informed as designs progress
- conduct site surveys when required
- attend initial client and site meetings
Skills and attributes:
- superb design ability
- project management skills
- collaborative team player
- methodical, detail orientated and organised
- deep knowledge of fitted furniture joinery production
- deep knowledge of kitchen design
- excellent knowledge of Autocad Full is essential
- knowledge of SketchUp/ArchiCAD would be welcome
- good knowledge of Adobe InDesign/CMS Office or equivalent is required
- minor admin duties
- friendly and can-do attitude with the ability to work unsupervised
- good verbal and written English with colleagues and clients
- superb customer service skills
Start date: immediate for the right candidate
Working hours: 7.30 am to 4.30 pm with a half-an-hour break, Monday to Friday
Location: office based in a joinery workshop, Bedmond, WD5 0SB
