Graham Handley Architects has an opportunity for an architect to join its team in Cambridgeshire, UK.
Graham Handley Architects (GHA) is seeking an architect with at least five years of industry experience post-Part 2 to join their friendly design-oriented practice near Cambridge.
GHA is a well-regarded practice with specialist skills in residential design and building conservation, and our work also includes commercial refurbishment, sustainable retrofit, barn conversions and community projects.
We have a high proportion of repeat clients who appreciate the tailored service we provide; and we have a reputation for being friendly, supportive and collaborative. Our team is primarily based in offices in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, that GHA converted from a historic listed flour mill 35 years ago.
We are keen to recruit a new member to our team to support a strong pipeline of projects going forward through 2024 and beyond. The successful candidate should have already worked as an architect at all RIBA Stages 1 to 6. This must include experience of detailed design, producing construction packages and preferably projects on site. 2D CAD skills in Vectorworks are essential and experience with 3D Vectorworks is preferred. Other skills should include experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and NBS Chorus.

We have a great range of projects in various stages of development including private residences, heritage and conservation buildings, commercial office refurbishments, mixed use developments and community projects.
The salary is based on experience and the annual RIBA Salary Survey and includes entry into the profit share scheme among other benefits, but please indicate your expectations in your cover letter.
