With the main studio in Clerkenwell, London, Studio Egret West is growing a new satellite studio in Manchester. Studio Egret West is an award-winning multidisciplinary practice of 87; architects, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers, model makers and filmmakers working on a range of mixed-use place-making projects.
Our growing portfolio of UK and European projects leads us to seek a talented architect to join our new Manchester Studio, within the Makers Quarter Kampus. This is an opportunity to get involved in the expansion of our practice, at the start of our second studio in the UK. Our Manchester base will build on the success of our Mayfield and Albert Bridge House commissions in Manchester, Cotton Quay in Salford and our latest project to lead the 4,500 home transformation of Holt Town.
We are looking for professionals with some experience working on large masterplan projects, with the skills to take projects into planning and beyond. You will be a lateral thinker, problem-solving and creative urban designer looking to make a difference in matters that affect our world.
You will work in mixed teams of urban designers, architects and landscape architects and large external design teams. Your workload will range from evolving large-scale framework plans to more detailed masterplans of varying densities and characters, focused on mixed-use urban placemaking.
Proficiency in Revit is desirable, but training can be provided. Experience in Microstation and Rhino would be beneficial. A great imagination and graphic skills are a prerequisite!

Required:
- a professional degree or diploma in architecture or urban design/equivalent
- experience working on large scale residential/mixed-use projects (stages 0 to 3) in the UK is a
requirement - demonstrable talent for design and experience working in the RIBA early stages
- excellent digital presentation skills
- proficiency in Revit is essential
- experience working in 3D CAD systems
- excellent communication and coordination skills
- relevant permit for working in the UK
