Kyle Smart Associates is seeking architects with technical experience to join its office in Bedfordshire, UK.
Our offices are in a rural setting but within an hour of central London and anywhere in the Home Counties and Milton Keynes. Car owner is essential.
Kyle Smart Associates is a RIBA chartered practice working on residential, educational, community and ecclesiastical projects mainly in London and the Home Counties.
Qualified architect candidates will need strong technical detailing skills with on-site construction experience and able to work as a team or on their own.
The role
We have a number of projects at feasibility stage which are approaching detail design and the ability to take them forward and delivering to deadlines is essential.
Candidates who wish to apply should demonstrate the following:
- experience in preparing, planning, building regulation, tender and construction information packages
- experience of managing a project from initial client contact to project completion and of managing the team to achieve this
- demonstrable experience in technical detailing, preparation of tender and construction documents
- 3D BIM Vectorworks experience ideally (not essential) All our projects are carried out in 3D
- three years of office experience running projects
- excellent communication skills, English fluency is essential. Successful candidates will be expected to liaise directly with clients, consultants, contractors and local authorities
- knowledge of UK building regulations and planning policy is essential along with on site contractual administration experience
