Financial controller

Selldorf Architects is hiring a financial controller to join its team in New York.
Selldorf Architects is an international woman-owned and led architecture and interior design firm based in Union Square. The firm’s portfolio encompasses a wide range of projects from high-end residential to museums and galleries, and at varying scales from new constructions to historic renovations.
It is is seeking an experienced controller to manage financial control and reporting, human resources and benefits administration.
The controller reports directly to the senior principal and works in coordination as a member of the management team.
This position encompasses but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- financial reporting for three entities as well as personal finance of principal, project financial reviews, sales tax filings, banking and investment account relationships
- maintenance of all insurance policies
- coordination with outside accounting firm for tax filing
- ADP WorkforceNow payroll processing
- financing and fiduciary management of 401k savings plan
- accounts payable and receivable
- onboarding employees
- vendor relationships
- IT cyber security protocols
- employee benefits administration
- broker relationships for providers
Necessary software utilisation includes:
- Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
- Studio Designer
- proficient Excel skills
- Microsoft Office
- Outlook
- vendor portals for a variety of business and employee accounts.
Experience:
- experience in the field of architecture is desirable
- ten to fifteen years of accounting experience is required
- multi-tasking in a hybrid employee work environment is essential
- experience in assisting many levels of stakeholders is needed
