The role
We are looking for an experienced architectural assistant or qualified architect who is keen to progress within one of our dedicated architectural design teams.
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate aptitude and drive towards project ownership and delivery, with a collaborative approach to development and knowledge sharing. They will have professional, post-qualification (Part 2/Part 3) experience in an architectural practice, preferably working on the delivery of large-scale UK residential and regeneration projects.
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal directly with clients is a must, as well as being comfortable with working in an open plan, multi-team studio.
A good understanding of UK building regulations is essential. Experience with specialist warranty providers such as NHBC or LABC is not essential but would be beneficial to the role.
Skills, knowledge and experience
Essential:
- post-qualification experience of working on residential and regeneration projects (preferably large scale)
- ability to lead on projects and work as part of a larger team
- ability and confidence to act as a liaison between clients/contractors and consultants
- up to date working knowledge of UK building regulations, NHBC and/ LABC warranty criteria and building safety act
- skilled in the use of REVIT software
- good working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and SketchUp
- strong conceptual design skills
- proven design experience in practice
Preferable:
- construction detailing skills
- experience with specialist warranty providers such as NHBC or LABC

- ability to plan, manage and prioritise workload and communicate requirements effectively
- confident, enthusiastic and positive attitude with the ability to build relationships externally and across the practice

- regularly encouraging opportunities for others at a more junior level to develop (particularly when leading projects or aspects of projects)
