Part 2 architectural assistant

Studio Sutton is seeking a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its central London-based practice.

The office is looking to add team members who are keen to be involved in the future growth and progress of the studio and contribute to the future vision of the practice. The ideal candidate should be technically strong with a keen eye for quality, timeless design principles and possess excellent management skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • assist in the design and delivery of projects from concept to completion, ensuring high standards of design and documentation
  • produce accurate and detailed drawings, models, and visuals using industry-standard software (notably Revit and Vectorworks)
  • support the preparation of planning and construction documentation, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations
  • collaborate with clients, consultants, and team members to ensure effective project coordination and delivery
  • develop creative and sustainable design solutions aligned with project briefs and the practice
  • conduct independent research on materials, construction techniques, and regulations to inform design decisions
  • participate in design reviews, contributing ideas and solutions to enhance project outcomes
  • manage tasks effectively to meet deadlines and maintain the required quality standards

Key requirements:

  • Revit experience is essential, proficiency with Vectorworks and Enscape is desirable
  • project based experience working across multiple RIBA Workstages, including 4-6
  • strong understanding of UK building regulations and construction principles
  • ability to produce high-quality drawings, models, and visuals with a high attention to detail
  • excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey ideas clearly
  • an ambitious and collaborative mindset, thriving in team environments and contributing to a positive studio culture, keen to learn, with the desire to share knowledge and experience
  • passion for sustainability and an interest in integrating environmentally conscious practices into design
  • a keen interest in professional development and open to completing Part 3 qualification
