Senior interior designer

Black and Milk is looking for a senior interior designer to join its team in London.
We are an award winning, young and creative interior architecture and design studio. We create modern, high-end homes for stylish families. We pride ourselves on creative and functional designs, customer service and great attention to details. We handle every step of the creation process from concept, specification, project management and procurement of FF&E items with high proportion of bespoke products.
We are a friendly and dynamic bunch of people and the studio is led by a husband and wife team, Anatoly and Olga who respectively look after business management and design.
Due to growth we are looking for a creative, energetic and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, talented and creative individual who wants to see their designs come into life. You will report to the creative director but will have good deal of responsibility on your projects for design and client management.
Main duties:
- manage interior design projects from concept to completion
- create exciting and fresh designs that meet client’s brief and budget
- create and maintain project plan to ensure timed execution of all tasks
- create mood boards, material boards, detailed technical design packs, specifications and sharing them with clients & contractors
- create detailed CAD documentation (floor plans, electrical layouts, elevations etc.)
- research products and create FF&E specifications for all product categories including surface finishes, light fittings, loose and fitted furniture, window dressing etc
- create CAD drawings and specification for bespoke products
- on-site project management and project coordination
- start to end budget management on the project
Skills and experience:
- minimum five years’ experience in residential interior design in the UK
- great looking portfolio with realised project which also shows your technical ability
- proven good client communication and presentation skills
- good knowledge of FF&E landscape in modern and contemporary segments across all categories used in architectural and FF&E residential projects: eg. from bathroom to window dressing
- experience in on-site project management
- good numerical skills and attention to details
- proficiency in AutoCAD, In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop and MS Office
Salary
£30-38k per annum
We offer good salary which will depend on your experience.
