Steelcase is looking for an interior design intern to join its team in Hong Kong, China.

Long-term
Since we have expanded our materials library our design studio will need your support in establishing, organising and cataloging the library. You would be responsible for supporting the materials library with lead designers. Build, update and expand the materials. Researching and exploring the latest fabrics and technologies in the interior/architecture industry.
Mission:
- research and order the latest samples/materials
- structure and re-organise our existing library
- assists the senior designers on project-related material researches
- maintain the existing library up-to-date
- cataloging and tracking the materials
- maintain a thorough knowledge of company products, services and culture
Education/experience:
- design or architecture/interior design student
- a working student/intern is required to work for at least 16 hours a week
- experience in office industry and the basic knowledge of materials pertaining to it
- minimum of one-two semesters of design experience in interior design, industrial design, or CAD environment
Skills/abilities:
- basic software knowledge – PC/Mac
- ability to grasp the business aspects of Steelcase, in terms of approach and product specifications
- fast-learner and team-player
- ability to manage tasks and complete them effectively and efficiently
- fluent in English, other languages is a plus
- great communication skills (verbal and written)
- collaborative work style, comfortable working in a globally integrated enterprise
