Faye Toogood is seeking a senior interior designer to become part of its London-based studio.

Faye Toogood directs and executes interiors and environments from concept through to creation. Offering a full interior design service, the studio’s projects range from the two-dimensional page to the three-dimensional space, and from the real to the conceptual.

Under the creative direction of London-based designer, Faye Toogood, the studio collaborates with clients who seek alternative ways of developing their brand or their interior. Its distinctive approach disregards convention in favour of something altogether more brave, joyous and impulsive.

The members of the studio are able to draw on a wide range of talents and diverse backgrounds, including fine art, history of art, architecture and interior design.

The studio is looking for a highly creative and self-driven yet technically strong freelance senior designer with experience in retail. The applicant must have a proven track record of leading large design projects, from concept to completion, including preparing presentations, construction documentation, budgets and on-site experience.

Responsibilities:

• take creative direction from the creative director and responsible for putting together the concept of the collections
• generating creative design, fabric direction, research and ideas
• responsible for leading research and development for fabrics and trims
• responsible for all fabric technical and dye testing and managing the fabric library for all collections
• identifying new materials and techniques to drive product and range development
• responsible for documentation of all research and development within the design team
• responsible for creating designs in categories depending on project or collection
• responsible for creating detailed technical designs
• working closely with creative director for day-to-day support; ensuring design and development is achieved in-line with the critical path
• working closely with the production team to ensure they source the materials and techniques needed on time
• responsible for providing clear, complete and updated design information to production to liaise with suppliers to complete successful samples and BOMs
• responsible for delivering designs to the production team that fall within the commercial strategy
• manage junior team members, mentoring and problem-solving where required
• foster team members to be bold, have drive and always care
