Soho House is seeking a mid-level interior designer to join its firm in Los Angeles, USA.

The role
Soho House Design is looking for a passionate, hands-on, highly-motivated, and creative, interior designer to join the team. This person will work within a team of in house designers on internal and external hospitality and residential projects.
Applicants should be familiar with the interior design process from design development, materials research and selection, through to procurement, production and installation.
Experience in hospitality design is a must.
Main duties:
- works closely with the senior designer assisting him/her during all phases of the design process from concept to handover
- creates, prepares and presents design concepts for the review of senior designer
- develops design drawings (bespoke furniture, lighting, joinery, layouts) and schedules for the review of senior designer
- prepares preliminary FF&E budgets for the review of senior designer
- ensures documents and presentations are filed in accordance to Soho House standards
- sources finishes, fixtures, furnishings, fabrics, lighting, hardware and accessories
- ensures regular reviews at key design stages with senior designer
- manages FF&E and sourcing to target budgets and timetable on a daily level
- assesses and manages prototype stages of bespoke pieces
- attends regular site visits at key stages
- assists FF&E install
- maintains sample library
Required skills/qualifications:
- four-plus years of experience in hospitality design, residential experience a plus
- bachelors degree in interior design
- millwork and drawing skills (in Revit or AutoCAD)
- experience in being part of a collaborative design environment
- knowledge of local and online showrooms and resources, industry trends
- thrives in a fast-paced dynamic, creative environment
- product development a plus
Software requirements:
- professional-level design software proficiency (AutoCAD or Revit)
- professional-level design software proficiency (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Revit knowledge a plus
- Spexx or Specsource software a plus
