Greatspace Architects is seeking an architect to join its office in Hexham, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
Greatspace is a young, design-led practice creating inspiring and ambitious buildings. We deliver environmentally-driven structures, which are contextual and inspired by a meaningful understanding of site. Our portfolio of work includes ecologically-conscious residential and commercial projects. The studio environment is engaging and fast-paced.
We are looking for a talented and committed architect with the drive and professionalism to lead a small team in delivering multiple projects independently. We are building a team for the long term and we offer opportunities to grow within the company. All team members can influence the future direction of the practice.
The role requires a minimum of three years’ post-Part 3 experience and candidates should have a strong track record of UK-based project-running at all stages, ideally with residential experience and the ability to win work.
The role:
- architect, three to five years’ post-Part 3. ARB qualified, UK experience
- responsible for the general management of the practice
- responsible for running multiple projects
- main point of contact for clients and consultants
- commission on new business

- proficient in Revit and InDesign – three years’ experience
- good technical knowledge and understanding of detailing
- stage five and six experience
- interest in networking and generating new business
- manages time and meets deadlines
