Design technology manager
at PLP Architecture
PLP Architecture is seeking a design technology manager to join its team in London.
We are a London based group of architects, designers and thinkers who value the transformative role of ideas and the capacity for architecture to inspire.
PLP Architecture has created some of the world’s smartest buildings, which have redefined what it means to live and work in today’s cities. PLP Labs is a research collaborative that develops concepts and technologies aimed at the future development of cities and urban living.
We have recently completed the Edge, the greenest office building in the word and Collective Old Oak, the largest co-living building to date. PLP is currently working on the tallest all-timber building in the world as well as researching a ground-breaking urban mobility system that fuses autonomous cars with mass-transit.
We are a non-hierarchical, collaborative, multi-disciplinary practice with the culture of a young start-up.
PLP Architecture seeks an intellectually curious candidate to support and advance the practice’s position at the forefront of applied technology. The candidate will manage existing core information services as well as lead the research and development of emerging systems and technologies.
We are seeking leadership and vision for the practice in all aspects of technology research and CAD delivery, including BIM. The successful candidate will work with the Senior Management and Project Teams to implement the CAD/BIM process, ensuring that all projects comply with CAD/BIM specific project requirements and latest standards. They will also ensure the implementation of the practice’s CAD/BIM protocols in all projects, internal staff training and day-to-day troubleshooting.
This is a full-time position with benefits, based in our London office. An architectural background is preferred; experience in academia is a plus.
All candidates should be eligible to work in the UK.
