Sustainable social enterprise, Goldfinger, is seeking a Senior Design and Production Manager to join its design studio in London.
Reports to: CEO
Direct reports: In-House Designer & Maker
Working pattern: Full-time, flexible working considered
Salary: £30-35k FTE, depending on experience
Location: Remote and at Goldfinger, W10 5NY (min. 2-3 days a week on site)
The Senior Design and Production Manager role is a unique opportunity for an energetic and innovative individual to lead the bespoke division of Goldfinger, joining our small but mighty team of ten. The focus of the role is the successful delivery of the highest quality furniture commissions: the role involves concept design / development, project and account management, and fabrication. The main responsibility is to develop project briefs with the clients and deliver the projects with the assistance of our Inhouse Designer and Maker, managing subcontractors and promote the Goldfinger brand. This role would suit candidates with experience in design or furniture making, looking to make an impact within a sustainable, values-led organisation.

Person specification
Essential
- Understanding the running of a woodworking workshop and its makers
- Technical knowledge of furniture / product making processes
- CAD experience for costing and technical construction drawings
- A passion for design and / or sustainable furniture
- Ability to manage a varied work-load with competing priorities
- Resourceful and adaptable
- Proven analytical, numerical and IT skills, including software package competence
Desirable
- A commitment to sustainability and positive social impact
- Line management experience
- Sales experience within the design / architecture industries
- A relationship-builder with good communication and presentation skills ( written and oral)
- Strategically minded
