Sandy Rendel Architects is looking to recruit a talented architect to join its team in London.

Ideally for a full-time post, although a part-time position (minimum of three and a half days per week) could be considered.

SRA is a design-led and award winning London based practice, working on bespoke residential projects in London and the South East.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated architect to work on a number of exciting projects – both early stage and on site.

For the right candidate the role also offers the potential to become an integral member of a small team and be involved in all aspects of the practice.

Applicants should have:

  • a minimum of five years’ practice experience, with a minimum two years’ post-Part 3
  • experience working within design-led practice and on private residential projects
  • strong design and representation skills
  • motivation to pursue design-led solutions and contribute to the work of the practice
  • good working knowledge of UK Planning and Building Regulations and residential design standards
  • good understanding of construction detailing and proven experience in developing technical details and specifications, managing drawing sets and delivering tender packages
  • proven experience of working in construction stages, and ideally in the contract administration of traditional JCT forms
  • excellent communication skills – Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, consultants and contractors
  • strong organisational skills – Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • a conscientious and pro-active approach to working and ability to problem-solve
  • excellent spoken and written English
  • experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office
  • experience in Vectorworks 2D & 3D and in specification writing would be an advantage

Salary subject to experience.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
