New York, USA
HR manager
at Charcoalblue
Charcoalblue is hiring an HR manager to join its team in New York.
Charcoalblue is widely regarded as the most exciting and innovative theatre, events, workplace, acoustics, and digital consultancy in the world. Since our foundation in the UK in 2004, we have grown to over 100 people worldwide, and are now the largest organization of its kind. We have studios in the UK, US and Australia.
We are looking for an HR manager to join Charcoalblue’s North American practice.
The HR manager role is pivotal in supporting our North American team and you should be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of HR and recruitment and feel comfortable being the key HR contact for our growing US workforce. You will also liaise directly with our PEO (professional employer organization) on compliance and benefits.
You will be the key HR interface between our theatre consultancy, acoustics and CBX (Charcoalblue experience) teams to ensure a cohesive approach to HR across our various North American business units. You will also liaise closely with Charcoalblue’s other global HR team members on group HR initiatives to ensure our company culture remains strong across our global operation.
You will be bright with a strong work ethic, ready to demonstrate confidence and adaptability and to grow the role over time. Great initiative and self-motivation are key to this role, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization. We work in a distributed model, so the role may be undertaken from home with attendance in our studios as required.
A good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Acrobat and HRIS systems is essential, as well as demonstrable experience in HR and recruitment. Some experience of working within an international team would be an advantage, as would previous experience working with PEOs.
A background in HR, recruitment, and administration for events, performing arts, architecture or construction related business is highly preferable.
We are an equal opportunities employer, actively working towards becoming an inclusive organization. We are working consistently to ensure elimination of unfair and discriminatory practices within the company and encourage full contribution from its diverse community. Recruitment opportunities are open to all, but we encourage applications from women, members of minority groups, people with disabilities, and anyone who doesn’t currently see themselves significantly represented in our teams.
We accept applications via our online application system.
