Industrial/product designer
at Rainlight Studio
Rainlight is seeking a full-time industrial/product designer to join its London studio.
We are looking for a passionate, skilled designer with experience in all phases of product development. You must possess a high degree of proficiency in CAD modelling with a good eye for detail and a refined sense of form.
You will have a broad range of responsibilities, from research and presentations to design and prototyping, all the way to final production This is a client facing role, and you will be working directly with both clients and manufacturers. Bringing together beautiful design and strong technical capabilities, you will bring innovative new products to life. This is an exciting opportunity for you to deliver projects to leading companies across the globe.
About you:
- minimum five years’ experience in product and furniture design
- degree in industrial or product design
- experienced working on a project from initial brief through to product launch
- high proficiency in Rhino 3D, Solidworks, Keyshot, Blender, Adobe Suite and MS Office
- 2D and 3D visualisation skills; hand and digital sketching
- experienced with prototyping and model making
- good understanding of manufacturing principles
- excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
