Black and Milk is hiring a mid-weight/senior interior designer to join its team in London.
About us
The Black and Milk team is expanding, and we are looking for a talented mid-weight/ senior interior designer with an ambition to progress to a more senior level.
We are a boutique design studio working solely with private clients on high-end residential projects in prime London.
Our projects are highly bespoke and detailed. We don’t accept a copy-paste approach and always strive to bring fresh ideas to the table. We create contemporary homes with a theme of understated luxury.
The studio is led by a husband and wife team, Olga and Toly, who respectively look after design and business management.
We work on refurb and FFE projects, so looking for an all-rounder with good knowledge of the construction process, AutoCAD and FF&E supplier landscape.
You will be responsible for creating your own design schemes from concept to completion under the direction of senior colleagues and the creative director.
All our projects include implementation, and you will be working closely with the procurement during the execution stage.

Our studio is in pictures Hampstead, a few minutes from the tube station.
Main duties:
- manage interior design projects from concept to completion
- create exciting and fresh designs that meet the client’s brief and budget
- create and maintain project tasks to ensure timed execution of works
- create mood boards, material boards, detailed technical design packs, specifications and present them to the client
- create tech drawings and documentation in AutoCAD (floor plans, electrical layouts, elevations etc.)
- research products and create FF&E specifications for all product categories
- on-site project management and project coordination with the contractors
Skills and experience:
- proficiency in AutoCAD. We don’t work in Vectorworks
- minimum three years experience in residential interior design in the UK
- exciting and creative portfolio, which also demonstrates your technical ability
- proven good client communication and presentation skills
- good knowledge of FF&E landscape in contemporary segments across all categories used in architectural and FF&E residential projects
- experience in on-site project management
- good numerical skills and attention to details
