Linda Boronkay Design Studio is hiring an interior architect to join its team in London.

Linda Boronkay Design Studio is a multidisciplinary interior architecture and design studio based in London. The studio’s portfolio ranges from diverse and distinctive interior design projects for hospitality and retail to custom residences for high-profile private clients, from home products and accessories to brand collaborations. We are currently looking to recruit a full-time project architect. The successful candidate will be attached to our London Clerkenwell office, although the opportunity to work some of your time remotely is optional.

As an interior architect at LBDS, you will be involved in producing design solutions of quality that inspire our clients. The ideal team member will help establish design concepts for new projects, maintain good relationships with our clients and take responsibility for preparing high-quality design documentation for key stakeholders.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • interior architect works closely with the associate designer/creative director assisting him/her during all phases of the design process from concept to handover
  • creates, prepares and presents design and architectural documentation through all phases of a project for the review of associate designer/creative director
  • develops design drawings (bespoke furniture, lighting, joinery, layouts) and schedules for the review of associate designer/creative director
  • ensures documentation and presentations are in accordance and filed to LBDS standards
  • manages and communicates with all external consultants through a projects progress
  • researches technical solutions to detail design challenges
  • ensures regular reviews at key design stages with associate designer/creative director
  • assesses and manages prototype stages of bespoke pieces
  • attending site and overseeing construction administration at key stages
  • assists FF&E install on projects when required
  • assigns and tracks project hours on a daily level

Essential technical skills and experience:

  • three to five plus years’ of working on luxury hospitality and/or private residential projects
  • project coordination across multiple projects
  • advanced creative design; detailing and drafting skills
  • fantastic interpersonal and client facing skills
  • design/construction problem solving
  • strong skillset in sketching/presentation of ideas and concepts
  • advanced AutoCAD
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe InDesign
  • SketchUp (preferable)
