Lumsden is seeking a middleweight interior designer to join its team in London, UK.

What you will do

You will have an exciting opportunity to join our design studio and work on a variety of projects as a fully collaborative member of a design team, participating in the design process to help create and deliver compelling, innovative spaces for our clients, large and small.

You will be involved in hands-on learning and collaboration with designers and directors to plan, design, develop and gain real-world experience working with clients across a spectrum of industries and locations.

As a key member of the design team, your responsibilities would include the development of innovative ideas and concepts, thoughtfully crafted schematic designs with high attention to detail, sourcing materials, finishes and furniture, finding new suppliers, creation of drawings and tender packages, project management and on-site experience to deliver projects.

You will enjoy the rich culture of our Clerkenwell studio near Smithfield Market.

Your qualifications:

  • minimum three years of experience in retail, hospitality and/or exhibition design
  • experience using SketchUp and AutoCAD is required
  • 3D computer rendering skills (Enscape, Twinmotion and/or other modelling software)
  • experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • hand sketching skills are essential

Salary will be based on level of experience.

This is a permanent position with a three-month probationary period.
