AOC Architecture is seeking an architect to join its team in London.

AOC Architecture is looking for an architect with design and construction experience to become part of our expanding design team in our East London studio. You will have a critical role in leading the day-to-day design and delivery of projects, managing the team and working with leading consultants for innovative clients. As an active contributor to our collaborative studio, you will be involved in all aspects of the practice, sharing ideas and being supported in your personal and professional development.

AOC Architecture is an award-winning practice of architects and designers committed to making buildings, places and experiences to support a better democratic society. We engage with communities and their cultures to co-create public buildings, cultural institutions and memorable places.

Your experience should include:

  • a minimum two years’ UK experience post-ARB registration
  • able to work both independently and in a small team with care and intelligence
  • being an excellent designer with good interpersonal skills
  • proven communication skills, able to liaise with client, consultant and contractor teams
  • good organisational skills with great attention to detail
  • an excellent understanding of construction methods and detailing
  • to be Mac literate and proficient in Adobe CC – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator – and MS Office 365
  • efficient in 2D and 3D drafting – Vectorworks 2D essential, Vectorworks 3D desirable
  • thorough knowledge of NBS and writing specifications
  • able to lead project and practice-related research
  • excellent written and spoken English language skills
