Senior interior design lead

Celine Interior Design is hiring a senior interior design lead to join its team in London, UK.

Based in London, Dubai and soon Saudi Arabia, we have an exceptional team that is trained with a serious commitment to outstanding craftsmanship, and intelligent and elegant design. We are now looking for a talent who is passionate about design, art and beauty and a confident and trustworthy indivisual capable of leading the numerous and varied interior projects alongside the director of Celine Interior Design.
Core responsibilities:
- ability to deliver a strong pitch or presentation with confidence in public speaking
- design and develop beautiful bespoke furniture including case pieces, upholstery, lighting and joinery. Maintain an understanding of Celine Design and continuously enhance the design progress
- produce all plans, RCP, elevations, joinery and details, etc. with a team of mid-weight designers as required for the projects
- lead and direct the creative and conceptual stages of the project, from the concept design phase up to construction documentation
- strong knowledge of both interior architecture and FF&E, with the technical understanding to support working across both sides of the business
- oversee FF&E procurement and keep track of project spending
- review construction shop drawings and develop detailed drawings for the construction
- incorporate the proper information on all drawings as agreed on the project (finishes, FF&E, callouts, electrical and other devices, dimensions, targets, etc.)
- liaise with contractors and sub-contractors during construction to ensure the design is implemented correctly; to analyse problems and solutions resolver
- complete review of all drawing packages from different consultants with a high standard of detail accuracy
- lead the SketchUp models and assist on rendering stages to approval works by the director
- create a snagging list with contractors or suppliers throughout completion
- encourage draft teams to improve design and technical skills
Core competencies and technical knowledge/skills:
- over eight years’ working experience of interior design
- hospitality projects or residential focused experience
- full proficiency in using CAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp and Photoshop etc.
- design experience of luxurious residential or hospitality
- must be fluent in English, develop effective and proficient communication (written/spoken/sketches)
- office-based Monday to Friday
Education/certificates:
- bachelor or above in interior design or related fields
