Mid-weight designer
at Atelier Wren

Atelier Wren is hiring a mid-weight designer to join its team in London.

Atelier Wren is looking for a talented mid-weight interior designer to join its growing team at our Central London studio.

Atelier Wren is an interior design studio specialising in restaurants, wellness venues, hotels, bars and members’ clubs. We believe exceptional hospitality design begins with a compelling story. Every project is approached as a unique narrative, where architectural context, interiors, lighting, materiality and atmosphere come together to create memorable experiences that endure. Our work is defined by thoughtful design, refined detailing and an uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship, while always retaining a sense of joy, warmth and originality.

As our portfolio continues to expand across the UK and internationally, we are seeking a creative and technically accomplished designer who is passionate about all things ‘hospitality design’, possesses exceptional attention to detail and enjoys contributing throughout every stage of the design process—from initial concept through to completion.

This is an opportunity to become an integral member of a close-knit, ambitious studio, working on design-led projects for some of the industry’s most exciting hospitality brands.

The role

The candidate will work closely with the founders and our designers to develop and deliver projects from concept through technical design and construction. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable generating creative ideas (ideally using Sketchup 3D models and AI), developing detailed drawing packages and collaborating with consultants, suppliers, contractors and clients to ensure every project is executed to the highest standard.

The candidate must be equally comfortable working in a small team and developing their ideas solo (with direction from the founders). A ‘team-player’ mentality is essential; we have a hardworking and happy team that gets on well and is always willing to help each other out.

The candidate should be efficient and diligent in their work as our projects are often fast-paced. A confidence in their abilities, built on a foundation of industry experience, is therefore a must. We like to work hard and fast, roll with the occasional problem or changes, and deliver excellent results for our clients.

  • research and specify furniture, fabrics, finishes, lighting, accessories and artwork
  • maintain and develop the studio’s material library
  • prepare FF&E specifications and schedules
  • liaise with suppliers, manufacturers and fabricators throughout the design process

Project coordination:

  • manage priorities across multiple deadlines within a collaborative studio environment
  • attend client meetings, consultant workshops and site visits
  • coordinate information across multiple live projects
  • assist during tender and construction phases
