Jestico + Whiles is seeking a project administrator to join its London-based team.
Jestico + Whiles is a design orientated architecture and interior design practice based in Clerkenwell. We are seeking an experienced project administrator to support a team of architects and designers.
About us
The ethos of our employee owned practice places people at the heart and we invest continually in our employees and their development. Our light filled adaptable Clerkenwell studio provides a stimulating and inspired environment and we operate a successful, motivated and happy practice. We share a significant element of our profit on an annual basis.
We organise periodic study and team building trips with the most recent being to six different European countries. We also host regular office quiz nights, Friday beers to share work in progress, and an annual summer and Christmas party. We take part in competitive softball and five a side football against other London practices. Weekly Yoga sessions in our studio are open to everyone and we also arrange quarterly practice lunches cooked in house by our employees. We encourage external organisations to use our extensive social space for talks, installations, events and fundraising for charity. These include Article 25 and Paradigm, an organisation which promotes BAME representation in the built environment.
Key activities include:
- producing expressions of interest, pre-qualification questionnaires and pitches in association with others creating Indesign presentations
- organising travel and visas – domestic and international
- copy typing of correspondence, minutes, reports, contract documents and so on
- proofreading documents typed by others to ensure correct spelling, grammar and layout
- fluency in English is essential
- administering project extranets – including Aconex, A-Site, 4Projects, Sharepoint, Livelink, Buzzsaw, Procore and BIW, uploading and downloading information
- updating the practice’s contacts database
- processing expense claims
- relief reception duties, including holiday/sickness/lunch cover, answering overflow telephone calls and emailing messages
This is a very busy and varied role. The successful candidate must be proactive and methodical with the ability to prioritise work and learn new programmes as required.
