Your new role:

  • high-quality design and coordination of projects of various sizes and complexities from inception to completion, with higher education and/or healthcare experience beneficial
  • foster and develop design talent within the studio, leading teams with enthusiasm and setting standards for professional and creative rigor

Long-term studio responsibilities:

  • participate in work-winning pursuits developing design proposals for bids, presenting at interviews and engaging with clients
  • remain current on industry trends and challenges
  • willingness and ability to participate in industry speaking or presentation engagements

What you will need to succeed:

  • 12+ years of professional experience, including large scale complex projects
  • demonstrate a track record of leading and inspiring teams, with a desire to mentor and nurture the talents of other team members
  • strong conceptual design, schematic design and delivery skills
  • strong analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • strong verbal and graphic communication skills; effective client relationship skills and talent for working within diverse teams of designers
  • ability to work in a collaborative, open environment
  • strong 3D modeling skills (e.g. Rhino, Sketchup, 3DS Max, Revit)
  • working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • capability to prepare design and construction documents and coordinate specifications
