Article 25 is seeking a project architect to join its team in London.

Article 25 is a global reaching humanitarian architecture charity dedicated to building safe and dignified shelter as defined by the UN. We design and build homes, schools and hospitals in poverty stricken areas. Our impact is precise, our buildings sustainable and uniquely designed to meet the needs of the communities they serve.

We are currently looking for a motivated project architect who can use their talents to improve the lives of communities around the world. This is an opportunity to lead an architectural team and consultant engineers on impactful projects such as a community hospital, an inclusive school or a housing project.

Article 25 has ambitious plans to upscale the impact of its work, by expanding its design and construction management programmes across the world. We have a strong track record of delivering social impact that is sensitive to the needs of vulnerable communities.

Experience:

  • RIBA Part 3 qualified or equivalent
  • over four years’ experience post-qualification in practice
  • experience of working on construction documents for at least one hospital
  • ability to coordinate consultant teams both in the UK and internationally
  • strong communication skills to effectively promote best practice among team members and other agencies
  • excellent project and people management skills
  • sensitivity and understanding of cultural and political issues, especially when working with local stakeholders
  • effective communicator/educator
  • experience in and understanding of the development and humanitarian sectors are desirable
