at Cutwork
Cutwork is hiring freelance senior architects/interior designers to join its team in Paris.
The way in which we work, live and interact with one another has changed. At Cutwork, we design new architectural and design concepts that can respond and adapt to these new ways of living, working and sharing.
Drawing on our knowledge and expertise in coworking, coliving and next-generation hospitality spaces and experiences, we design smart, multi-use spaces and furniture. We focus on facilitating the transformation of spaces between usages, building stronger communities, and encouraging collaboration.
We are looking for
We are seeking talented freelance architects and interior designers with experience in all phases from concept definition to technical design/construction. We are looking for passionate designers to help us rethink and design spaces to better support modern usages, lifestyles and communities through innovative architectural and/or interior concepts.
Main responsibilities:
- elaborate and communicate architectural and interior design concepts and designs
- design and produce creative concepts, material/mood boards, architectural drawings, FF&E lists, client presentations, renders, etc.
- contribute to work on project and design constraints, objectives, composition, materials and color, spatial quality, detailing
- work in close collaboration and maintain clear communication with other members of the Cutwork project team as well as external consultants
- maintain and organise your work, keep your files up-to-date to facilitate collaboration and communication, and respect Cutwork’s design guidelines
Requirements:
- masters degree in architecture, interior design or relevant field
- eight plus years’ of experience in architecture and/or interior design field
- experience in all phases from preliminary design to technical/construction phases
- experience in coworking, coliving, office and/or hospitality projects is preferred
- excellent command of English, both written and spoken;
- proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- independent, hard working, proactive, hungry to grow and inspire positive change
- ability to think outside the box and to express a strong design point of view
- strong organisational and communication skills and ability to work flexibly and independently in a demanding environment
Bonus points:
- fluency in French, both written and spoken
- knowledge of the French architectural building regulations
- experience with rendering software (3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape) and BIM software (ArchiCad / Revit)
Location
Open to remote applicants within Europe, local to Paris preferred.
