Urban Mesh Design has an opening for a project architect to join its team in London.
Urban Mesh is an architectural practice located within the City of London’s Culture Mile, a stone’s throw from the Barbican and Smithfield Market.
We are a tight knit team working on an array of projects across commercial and residential sectors. The majority of our projects involve working on the remodelling of existing buildings within Central London on contract values between £1m to £10m.
We work at all RIBA stages, most commonly all the way from feasibility through to construction, and offer excellent opportunities for our staff in the development of their core architectural skills and the advancement of their architectural careers.
Candidates must be ARB registered architects with between three and five years UK experience post RIBA Part 2.
The successful candidate will possess a passion for the process of building, for the teamwork that it entails, a love of London’s existing building stock and an excitement about the City’s future.
Essential skills:
- proficient CAD – preferably AutoCAD
- proven Stage 5 experience and technical grounding
- familiarity with current building regulations
- can still crack a smile on a Friday afternoon
Additional skills and attributes:
- prior experience on existing buildings
- excellent hand drawing and sketching ability
- desire and curiosity to expand your skill set
- high level of presentational skills
