Role overview
As a mid-weight interior designer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of projects from concept to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your creativity, technical skills and project management expertise to a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities:
- work closely with the senior design team to develop and execute creative design concepts
- prepare mood boards, sketches, and 3D visualizations to present ideas to clients
- produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction and fit-out phases
- source and specify materials, furniture, fixtures, and fittings in line with project requirements
- coordinate with contractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure seamless project delivery
- coordinate multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
- attend site visits, client meetings, and presentations as required
- stay updated with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies
Skills and qualifications:
- a degree or equivalent qualification in interior design, interior architecture or related field
- three to five years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a design studio
- proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and Revit (preferred)
- ample of residential or hospitality experience preferred
- strong hand-sketching and visualisation skills
- estimac skills for FF&E
- excellent understanding of space planning, materials, and detailing
- strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical ability and experience in delivering projects
